Grassroots common people are happy to get blanket. Taking the blanket in hand, the tears of joy are falling in the eyes of the neglected people of the grassroots. After not getting a single blanket, many are returning home with the assurance given by the chairman. Such a picture can be seen in Daulatdia Union Parishad office of Rajbari district.

A middle-aged woman holding a blanket said, “It’s very cold. There is no plasterer in the house. This one blanket will make winter less painful tonight.”

Chairman Abdur Rahman Mandal was present at the blanket distribution meeting at the campus of Daulatdia Union Parishad in the district on Monday afternoon. Goalanda Upazila Parishad Chairman Mostafa Munshi, Goalanda Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Jyoti Bikas Chandra, General Secretary of Daulatdia Union Awami League Shafiqur Rashid Titu were present.
