The hearing of the petition filed by Insaniat Biplab to dissolve Parliament and call for elections under the army majestrisy power will be held tomorrow, Wednesday (December 20).
The hearing is scheduled to be held in the court of Justice Md. Iqbal Kabir and Justice Biswajit Debnath.
Earlier on Tuesday (December 19) the writ was filed by Insaniat Biplab.
Humanity-based political party.
Insaniyat Biplab thinks that the illegal influence of the ruling party and the main obstacle to free elections and free voting rights is to hold elections while maintaining parliament.
Chairman of the party, Imam Hayat, said, “In the past elections, we have seen the ruling parliamentarians misusing government power in their respective constituencies, using the administration, police and their own armed men to seize polling stations and create obstacles for others to vote.”
He said, “It is impossible to have a fraud-free election by keeping the parliament in place.” In order to protect the country and democracy through farce-free elections, we have filed a writ petition in the Insaniat Biplab High Court seeking an order to dissolve the Parliament and hold elections under the direct supervision of the army through the interim government during the elections.
Imam Hayat said, security is the main obstacle to a fair election after the ruling party parliamentarians. Taking part in the last elections, we have seen almost every polling station where life-threatening situations were created. With the help of the ruling party MPs, the armed men have used weapons and bombs etc. with the help of the police and the administration.
He said safe and credible elections are completely impossible without the direct supervision of a trusted army from the booth to counting.
Imam Hayat said, any type of farce election other than fraud-free, fair and credible election is a denial of citizenship and state ownership of the people and destroys the moral foundation of the state and overthrows democracy.
He said that free and independent suffrage, fraud-free elections and safe elections are the demands of all people who believe in the country and democracy, which is not a matter of any party or individual.
Imam Hayat said, in the interests of protecting the country and protecting democracy and the rights and ownership of the people, we have filed a writ petition in the High Court seeking an order to dissolve the parliament and order credible and safe elections under the supervision of the army and suspending the announced schedule until the parliament is dissolved.
