International Anti-Corruption Day celebrated in Chapainawabganj

A procession and discussion meeting was held in Chapainawabganj on the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day. The day was jointly celebrated by the district administration and the district anti-corruption committee.
On Saturday (December 9) at 9 am in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, the national flag was hoisted next to the Bangabandhu Manch along with the performance of the national anthem. Later, a colorful procession takes place through various streets of the city and ends at the same place and the day is auspiciously heralded by the blowing of balloon festoons.
Later, on the occasion of the day, a discussion meeting was organized in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner under the chairmanship of the President of the District Anti-Corruption Committee Prof. Ibrahim Hossain.
Deputy Commissioner AKM Galiv Khan spoke as the chief guest. District Police Superintendent Sayedul Hasan (PPM), Zilla Parishad Chairman Brave Freedom Fighter Ruhul Amin, Principal of Nawabganj Government College Professor Dr. Mazharul Islam Toru, Sadar Upazila Parishad Executive Officer Mst. Tashmina Khatun and Brave Freedom Fighter Advocate Abdus Samad spoke as special guests in the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the general secretary of the district anti-corruption committee Mosiul Karim Babu gave a welcome speech. The program was conducted by Principal of Greenview High School Mst. Roksana Ahmed.
District Local Government Engineering Directorate Executive Engineer Mazaher Ali Pramanik, District Education Officer Abdur Rashid and others were also present in the meeting.
In the meeting, the speakers laid importance on making the young generation and common people aware of the prevention of corruption.
