Shisu-park adjacent to Kazi Deuri beside chittagong Circuit House in the port-city has been sealed and handed over to the authorities.

On Monday (October 23) afternoon, Chittagong Cantonment Executive Officer Sajia Taher explained the installation.

Executive Magistrate Nu Mong Marma Mong and Rakibul Islam led the operation under the instructions of Chittagong District Commissioner.

Executive Magistrate Rakibul Islam told Daily Morning Glory that the site of Shishu Park is the property of the Ministry of Defence, we conveyed the possession to the authorities on the instructions of the DC. The site of the Shisu-park originally belongs to the Ministry of Defence, the City Corporation leases it from the Ministry of Defence, then violates the terms and conditions and rents it to commercial establishments.

In violation of the conditions under which CCC was allowed to use the land, Shishu Park has been sealed and the land has been handed over to the concerned authorities.

Incidentally, there was a demand from various quarters of Chittagong to close the commercial shisu-park adjacent to the circuit house and construct a memorial there and create a green space open to the common people. Various social and cultural organizations were holding various programs including human bonds for this demand.
