Sheikh Russell’s 60th birthday is celebrated in Chapainawabganj

On the occasion of the 60th birthday of Shaheed Sheikh Russell, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the day was celebrated with a discussion, cultural program and cake cutting organized by Chapainawabganj district administration and government girl child family. Mst. Mahafuza Sultana, President of Ladies Club & wife of Deputy Commissioner AKM Galiv Khan was present as the chief guest in this program under the supervision of Shahnaz Parveen, Deputy Superintendent of Children’s Family on Wednesday at 11:00 AM. The chief guest said that on this day in 1964 Sheikh Russell, the youngest son of the father of the nation, was born. The day is as happy as it is very sad. On August 15, 1975, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and other members of his family unexpectedly fell victim to the worst and hellish murder in history. 10-year-old innocent child Sheikh Russell was not left out. He also said – Sheikh Russell was a lively, friendly and serene personality. In every child, Sheikh Russell lives and will live forever. He urged Sheikh Russel’s childish unique personality to be spread among future generations of children. Apart from this, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ahmed Mahbub-ul-Islam’s wife Reshma Khatun, Sadar Upazila Executive Officer Tashmina Khatun, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Naima Khan, Assistant Commissioner Aminul Islam’s wife Zakia Khatun, Assistant Commissioner Tanjina Sharmin Drishti and others. At the end, the guests enjoyed the singing and dancing of the children.
