Shilpi Das head  of Chandai Government Primary School of Dakshin Surma Upazila of Sylhet, has been selected as the best head teacher of Sylhet division.  This information was released from the office of the Deputy Director of Primary Education, Sylhet last Sunday after being selected as the best head teacher of Sylhet division in the National Primary Education Medal-2023 primary school head teacher category.

He was selected as the best head teacher at the departmental level due to his special contribution to the improvement and development of education including responsibility towards the profession, new innovative thinking, special care for backward students, teaching through digital content and cultural practices. Every year on the occasion of National Education Week, the Ministry of Education selects the best of the country based on competition in various categories including best teacher, best student, best assistant teacher, best head teacher and best institution.  In this process, Shilpi Das has been selected as the best in his own upazila and then in the district and divisional level after the competition. Now he is preparing to participate in the national level competition.  For this, he sought everyone’s cooperation and blessings. Shilpi Das was born in 1978 in Purba Natunpara of Sunamganj city.  Father Kalyan Sindhu Das and mother Uma Talukder.  In 1999, he started his career as an assistant teacher at Kasba Government Primary School, Pagla, Shantiganj Upazila, Sunamganj.  After being promoted as head teacher in 2006, he joined Pagla Shatrumardan Government Primary School in the same upazila.  After that, he joined Chandai Government Primary School of South Surma Upazila of Sylhet as a head teacher and is working till now. In personal life she is the mother of one son.  Her husband’s  Shyama Prasad Liton son of Laularchar village of Dirai Upazila of Sunamganj is working as an assistant professor in the accounting science department at Jawa Bazar Degree College Chatak Upazila.
