The BNP leaders and workers of Bandarban are on hunger strike demanding the permanent release of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and better treatment abroad.On Saturday (October 14th) in front of the district BNP office in Bandarban Bazar, this hunger strike was organized by the Bandarban District BNP. Bandarban district BNP president Ma May Ching,general secretary Md.Jabed Reza,organizational secretary Md.Jasim Uddin Tushar,former president of Jubadal Md.Shahadat Hossain Jani and other leaders and activists of district BNP and its affiliated organizations were present in the hunger strike program. Speaking on the hunger strike agenda, the speakers called for the resignation of the current Awami League government and the dissolution of parliament,elections under a non-partisan neutral government.The activists demanded the unconditional release of former prime minister and BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and arrangements to go abroad for better treatment.
