The Minister for Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing (MP) laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various development projects of New Gulshan,Catchinghata and Bir Bahadur School and College of Bandarban Municipality.On Saturday (September 23),The foundation stone of these development works was laid and inaugurated by Bandarban Hill District Council and Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board.

Earlier,Minister Bir Bahadur inaugurated various development works in Bandarban last Friday (23 September).On this day,he unveiled and inaugurated the plaque of Bandarban Adarsh Government Primary School with a cost of Tk 1 crore implemented by the hill district council,market adjacent to Meghla petrol pump at a cost of Tk 45 lakh and Meghla Satsang Vihar at a cost of Tk 90 lakh implemented by the Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board.

Speaking as the chief guest at these events,Minister Bir Bahadur said that due to the sincerity of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina,the tide of development is flowing in the hilly areas today.The people of the hills have benefited from the development works that have been implemented in the hilly areas.This progress of development will continue in the future.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Md. Fazlur Rahman,Additional Superintendent of Police Md.Shah Alam,Municipal Mayor Mohammad Samsul Islam,Executive Engineer of Hill District Council Md.Ziaur Rahman,Executive Engineer of Chittagong Hill Tracts Development Board Bandarban Unit Abu Bin Mohammad Yasir Arafat and local public representatives and Civil society representatives were present.
