Among the 8 districts of Rajshahi Division, Chapainawabganj District Council and Chief Executive Officer Md. Afaz Uddin have been elected the best District Council and the best Chief Executive Officer respectively. Wednesday (September 20, 2023) Divisional Commissioner, Rajshahi Division, Rajshahi Dr. Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir (Additional Secretary) formally handed over the memento to District Council Chief Executive Officer Md. Afaz Uddin.

Local Government, Rajshahi Division Director (Joint Secretary) Md Enamul Haque and Deputy Director Shahana Akhtar Jahan were present at this time. In addition, officials of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office, Deputy Directors of 8 Districts, Chief Executive Officers of Local Government and District Council, along with journalists of print and electronic media working in the department were also present in the event. This award is given based on performance evaluation of District Councils of Rajshahi Division in the financial year 2022-2023.

Chapainawabganj Chairman of District Council Brave Freedom fighter Md. Ruhul Amin and Chief Executive Officer Md. Afaz Uddin led and with the united efforts of the members, officers & employees by District Council are working relentlessly for the development of Chapainawabganj district in building Smart Bangladesh.

In this context, District Council Chairman Brave Freedom fighter Alhaj Md. Ruhul Amin said, District Council is now a people’s council, we are working unitedly for the development of the district with the people.

Chief Executive Officer Afaz Uddin said, it is a matter of luck to get this honor. I express my sincere thanks to the Divisional Commissioner Sir and Director Sir. May our progress continue. I seek everyone’s cooperation.
