Last year, there was a record of hospitalization due to dengue in one day in the country. In the last 24 hours (Friday 8 am to Saturday 8 am), 820 patients were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Earlier, on July 4, a maximum of 678 dengue patients were admitted to the hospital. Meanwhile, two people have died due to dengue in the last 24 hours.

This information was informed in a notification sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Saturday.

It is said that in 24 hours, 603 patients were admitted to different hospitals of Dhaka due to dengue. 217 people have been admitted to different hospitals outside Dhaka.

The circular also said that currently a total of 2 thousand 502 dengue patients are under treatment in various public and private hospitals of the country. There are currently 1,773 dengue patients in 53 government and private hospitals in Dhaka and 729 dengue patients in other hospitals. So far 67 people have died of dengue. Among them, 20 people died in 8 days of this month.

From January 1 to July 8 this year, 12,118 dengue patients have been admitted to various hospitals in the country. Among them, 8 thousand 574 patients in different hospitals in Dhaka and 3 thousand 544 patients admitted outside Dhaka.
