Anti-drug rally of locals in Akbarshah of the port city chottogram
New Shaheed Lane area under the Akbarshah police station of the port city of Chittagong, the residents of the area held a procession and protest gathering to demand an end to the emergence of ‘drug dealers and kisor gangs’, drawing the attention of the army and the concerned administration.
In the protest meeting organized on Friday (November 8th), former convenor of Khulshi Thana Branch Jubo Dal, Helal Hossain Helal, as the chief guest, Vice President of Central Jubo Dal and former president of Chittagong Metropolitan Jubo Dal, Mosharraf Hossain Deepti said, “The future generation of Bangladesh is wounded by the sharp blows of drugs.” If not stopped now, no one can save this generation from plunging into darkness. Almost half of the population in the country are children, teenagers and young people. The young generation should be saved from the ongoing curse by building a social movement. In addition to the government, various private organizations including political parties, autonomous institutions should come forward.❞
