Needy Foundation supports the underprivileged through various services

Needy Foundation is a non-profit, charitable and voluntary social welfare organization.
It is a registered charity under the Ministry of Social Welfare of the Government of Bangladesh by the Directorate of Social Services Bangladesh with registration number Chatto: 2790/2007.
Originally on January 1, 2007, a philanthropist named Md. Alam established this organization called Needy Foundation. In the meantime, 8 (eight) mosques and 61 (61) ablution khans have been constructed to facilitate regular prayers in different places of Bangladesh. This foundation has installed 500 (more than five hundred) tubewells free of cost in different places of Bangladesh to provide safe drinking water to needy families.
Moreover, distribution of educational materials to orphans/underprivileged students, distribution of emergency relief to affected families at the time of floods, fires and disasters, distribution of Eid clothes and financial assistance to orphans, widows, sick and helpless families through Zakat program, distribution of winter clothes to the underprivileged in winter season, fasting during Ramadan. Distribution of Iftar and Sehri materials to individuals, orphans and various orphanages, distribution of sacrificial animal meat to the poor and orphans, distribution of cooked food and rice to the underprivileged people is ongoing. During the COVID-19 pandemic, needy families deprived of society’s facilities were provided emergency relief assistance under the Needy Foundation’s COVID-19 programme. Emergency relief aid provided to displaced Rohingya in Myanmar. The combined impact of Needy Foundation’s social development and humanitarian programs reaches over 50,000 beneficiaries. The organization is working with the aim of expanding their activities further in the future.
