There is evidence that BNP is involved in all kinds of sabotage in the country. BNP has destroyed the business and electoral system. One sat in London and sold nominations and turned elections into commerce. Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina said that the country has become a developing country because the people have repeatedly voted by boat.

On Wednesday (December 20) in the afternoon in Sylhet, Aliya Madrasa ground, she said in a public meeting that Allah gives wealth to people. BNP did not allow us to come to power in 2001 elections. Its only reason was natural resource gas. America proposed to sell gas. Their company extracts gas here. I said I will not sell gas. This gas belongs to our people, this gas will be used for the welfare of the people. And if there is excess after using it after keeping a reserve of 50 years, then I will sell it. They were very unhappy. Decided not to let me come to power.

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina started the speech at Alia Madrasa ground in Sylhet at 4:20 pm on Wednesday. In her speech, she recalled the overall development of Sylhet and asked for votes from the crowd.

Earlier, Awami League President Sheikh Hasina arrived at Sylhet Osmani International Airport by air on Wednesday (December 20) at 11:35 am to officially start the election campaign. Central leaders of the party including her younger sister Sheikh Rehana were present. Central and local Awami League leaders welcomed her at the airport.

From the airport, without any protocol, she took the local Awami League leaders by car and first visited the shrine of Hazrat Shahjalal (RA) and then completed the pilgrimage to the shrine of Hazrat Shah Paran (RA). From there, after lunch and rest at Sylhet Circuit House, she arrived at the

prepared meeting place at Aliya Madrasah ground in the city at 3:10 PM. Meanwhile, A. League President Sheikh Hasina waved her hand and greeted those who came to the rally.

Earlier, the public meeting started at around 1 pm with Quran recitation. Sylhet Metropolitan Awami League President and heroic freedom fighter Masuk Uddin Ahmed presided over the meeting. General Secretary of Metropolitan A.League Professor Zakir Hossain and District A. League General Secretary Advocate Nasir Uddin Khan also spoke on the stage of the meeting.
