The fourth death anniversary of Kalyani Mahila Sangsad Founder Secretary Marjina Haque was celebrated in Chapainawabganj. Kalyani Mahila Sangsad organized a discussion and prayers on this occasion on Wednesday afternoon.
Mahfuza Sultana, Chapainawabganj Ladies Club president and wife of Deputy Commissioner AKM Galiv Khan, spoke as the chief guest in the discussion and prayer program held at the Margina Haque Conference Room of Kalyani Women’s Parliament.
Mahfuza Sultana said in her speech that eminent educationist Marjina Haque has made a significant contribution to the formation of the country and nation. She worked selflessly to advance the backward women of Chapainawabganj. He said, in our present society, people are busy with their families, but Marjina Haque has worked for the welfare of women, leaving aside the interests of the family. He mentioned that he had outstanding contribution in the Great War of Liberation.
The chief guest also said that we are able to stand here today because educationist Marjina Haque founded the Kalyani Mahila Sangsad. He has received the National Education Medal three times for his substantial contribution to education. Marjina Haque is an example of a woman who can manage the family and perform various tasks in the society. He was good in many ways.
Dr. Reshma Akter, Vice President of Kalyani Mahila Sangsad and wife of Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Ahmed Mahbub-ul Islam, spoke in the meeting among others – Kalyani Mahila Sangsad Secretary Gauri Chand Situ, Shah Neymatullah College Assistant Professor Masuma Khatun. Apart from this, Marjina Haque’s daughter Kalyani Mahila Sangsad Social Welfare Secretary Dr. Salma Arjumand Banu also spoke.
