In Shaistaganj, the theft by spraying is not stopping. The local residents are not able to stop the miscreants even by keeping vigil at night. For this, as always, they are blaming the failure of the police.

Last Tuesday night, Abbas Uddin Talukdar of Biramchar area, Masud Ahmed of Bagunipara, last Wednesday night the incident of throwing spray at the laundry house next to the office of Upazila Nirbahi Officer. Several people, including children, fell ill. They were admitted to Sadar Hospital. But they narrowly escaped major damage. As soon as the spray was thrown, the local people started shouting and ran away.

Meanwhile, the people of Shaistaganj are spending their days in a state of fear. They said that they are preparing a program demanding immediate action against these.
