In Chunarughat upazila, a girl has been accused of rape by her parents. The victim’s family claimed that the teenager (16) was seven months pregnant. After the case in this incident, the head teacher of Sunni Ashraf Talukdar Hafiziya Madrasa of Parajar. Zakir Hossain (39) was arrested by the police. He was arrested early Sunday morning.

According to the case and police sources, Zakir Hossain is the head teacher of Sunnia Ashraf Talukdar Hafizia Madrasa in Parajar. The member-secretary of the madrasa’s managing committee is the victim’s brother and the father is the vice-president. Because of that, Zakir Hossain developed a good relationship with the victim’s family. Due to this, the teacher used to come and go to the victim’s house. At one point, Zakir Hossain called the girl’s parents ‘parents of religion’. Zakir, a teacher, raped the girl at a stage of family intimacy.

The elder brother of the girl said that despite having a wife and 4 children, he proposed to the younger sister for marriage. That proposal was rejected. Later Zakir developed a love relationship with the young woman. At one point he raped her. A rape case has been registered in this incident on Saturday night.

The investigating officer of the case, Deputy Inspector (SI) Delwar Hossain told CNBangladesh that after the case, the accused Zakir Hossain was arrested and sent to jail through the court. Zakir Hossain admitted to having a love affair with the girl but denied the rape.
