“National Assembly Elections in the First Week of January”
Dhaka/
Election Commissioner Md. Anichur Rahman said that the National Assembly elections will be held in the first week of January in early 2024.
But I have not fixed the date. The formalities of the 12th National Parliament elections started today.
He said these things at the inauguration of the training of trainers for the 12th National Assembly elections at the Electoral Training Institute (ETI) in Agargaon on Saturday (September 2).
Anishur Rahman said, the vote will be on the ballot. So the challenge will be more. The law empowers the presiding officer to stop the vote if the election goes out of control. You have to know them.
Election Commissioner Md. Alamgir said, as a master trainer you have to know everything. Otherwise it will be wrong if you go to the field and train.
Election Commissioner Begum Rasheda Sultana said that careful attention should be paid to ensure that the election is not questioned.
At this time, he ordered to carry out his duty in the polling field with professionalism and courage.
Election Commissioner Md. Ahsan Habib Khan said, I hope to play a role in the fair election.
Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Habibul Awal said that the Presiding Officer should realize the responsibility of the Centre. Recently the powers of the presiding officer have been enhanced by legislation. A free and fair participatory election will be in the interest of the EC. We want elections to be not only free, fair and peaceful, but also credible. The political culture of the country has not yet reached that height.
