An autorickshaw driver named Hiru Mia (35) died after being electrocuted in Sadullapur upazila of Gaibandha.

The incident took place on Wednesday (August 16) at around 7 pm in Sadarpara village of Thaperhat union of the upazila.

The deceased Hiro Mia is the son of Abul Hossain of that village.

Relatives said that at that time Hiro Mia started the motor pump to irrigate the land. In the meantime, when the power went out, the main switch was fixing the connection without closing it. At this moment, when the electricity went off again, Hiro Miya died on the spot after being touched by the wire.

Confirming this information, Abdur Razzak Fakir, a member of Ward No. 6 of Thaperhat Union Parishad (UP), said, “I was careless: Hiro Mia died due to electrocution.” Such an incident is very sad. Everyone needs to be careful about this.
