63 people including migrants died in the boat sinking

63 people are believed to have died after a boat from Senegal capsized off West Africa’s Cape Verde Islands. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said this on Wednesday. News from AFP.
IOM spokesperson Safa Mcehli said that 63 people are believed to have lost their lives in the boat sinking incident. Among the 38 survivors are four children aged 12 to 16 years.
Members of emergency services recovered the bodies of seven people, Mcehli told AFP. Another 56 people are believed to be missing.
The tall wooden boat, known as a pirogue, was spotted on Monday in the Atlantic Ocean about 150 nautical miles (277 km) off the Cape Verdean island of Saal, police said.
A Spanish fishing vessel spotted the boat and alerted the Cape Verdean authorities.
