A housewife named Swapna Begum (30) committed suicide by consuming rat medicine in Bamoi village of Lakhai upazila. On Thursday morning, due to a family dispute, he took rat medicine. Later he was rescued and taken to the Upazila Health Complex where the doctor declared him dead.

After receiving the news, Lakhai police station OC Md. Nunu Mia prepared the body’s mortuary and sent it to the morgue. He said, initially it is thought to be suicide. However, the cause of death will be known after the autopsy report.

Swapna is the wife of Azizul Haque, a tomtom driver of that village.
