A case has been filed against Madrasa Superintendent Minhaj Uddin in connection with the beating of five journalists while performing their professional duties in Gobindganj, Gaibandha.

On Friday (August 4), journalist Farhad Hossain, who was attacked and beaten up, filed the case at Gobindganj police station as the plaintiff. In this, 5-6 other unknown people have been named as defendants. Earlier on Thursday (August 3) journalists Moshiur Rahman Babu (MyTV), Shaheen Alam (Sakal Khabar), Farhad Hossain Fitul (Nabraj), Zobaidur Rahman Sagar (Today) were attacked and beaten when they went to collect information for the news at Sholagari Dakhil Madrasa of the upazila. They were admitted to Gobindganj Upazila Health Complex in injured condition. As Abu Tarek’s condition deteriorated, he was sent to Shaheed Zia Medical College (Shajimek) Hospital in Bogra for better treatment. He is currently undergoing treatment there.
