In Charipur village of Rajiura Union of Habiganj Sadar Upazila, an allegation of eviction of an innocent family has been received. Not only that, they are not allowed to leave their homes. As a result, the family is living a half-starved life. Meanwhile, their crops and fish in the pond are being killed to prevent them from leaving their homes. This incident has created a sensation in the area.

The family filed a written complaint with the Upazila Nirbahi Officer.

It is known that Sabur Ali, the son of deceased Manjab Ali of that village, has been living with his family. But Awal Miah, son of the deceased Alim Ullah of the same locality, and his people, were desperate to occupy his place recently. They even tried to drive him out of the house. But they failed and expelled the family with the elders of the village. Even her college going children are not allowed to come and go. Even shopkeepers are prohibited from selling any goods to them. Because of this, they have been spending days with their families on half-starvation for several days without being able to buy anything.

Sabur Ali said that if such a situation continues, there will be no other option but to commit suicide with the family. In the complaint written on Wednesday, it is further mentioned that several village elders including Awal, Abdal Miah, Sher Ali, Motaher Miah, Sharif Uddin, Abdur Rashid, Kamal Miah have done this.

No. 6 Rajiura UP Chairman Badrul Karim Dulal said, Mr. UNO has informed me. Action will be taken soon.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ayesha Akhtar said that action will be taken on the complaint on an urgent basis.
