Prime Minister and Parliament Leader Sheikh Hasina said that people are shot and killed every day in the United States, and the human rights of the people of their own country should be protected first. He said, “Let them think first how to save the people of their country.” That is what they should do.

In the closing speech of the budget session of the National Parliament, the Prime Minister also said that all the elections during the Awami League period have been free, fair and impartial. Addressing those who raise questions about human rights in Bangladesh, the Prime Minister said that today many people come to Bangladesh in search of human rights. My question is where the human rights peddlers were when they were killed, tortured and raped in the 2001 elections? Why were they silent? Why didn’t they speak? Many people give us pictures. Teach human rights. We are deprived of human rights. Those who protect murderers with indemnity, many international organizations and many countries raise the issue of human rights after listening to them. We were deprived of human rights. It took 35 years to prosecute Ba-Ma’s murder. Those who say that there is no human rights in Bangladesh have not seen 2001? Did not see August 15? Did you not see what happened in this country from August 15 until the Awami League government came? I don’t understand why they didn’t see or hear. Talking about human rights – today when the Rohingyas were being tortured, they were being raped. We gave them shelter. When we can take responsibility for so many people for humanitarian reasons. My question is what can be the protection of human rights?

Referring to the issue of sheltering the Rohingyas, Sheikh Hasina also said that the Awami League government has given shelter to the oppressed people of other countries, why should the Awami League government violate human rights? how to do How to say this? In many places around the world, many people are being killed. Even in America, children are being shot and killed every day. Killings are happening in schools, shopping malls, streets. Bengali girls are being robbed and killed while crossing the road. Every day they are being shot dead in every state. Going inside the house and killing the family. They should protect the human rights of the people of their own country first. Let them think first how to save the people of their country. That is what they should do. Thousands of women and men refugees are suffering today due to the war in Ukraine. Shelling in Syria, also in Palestine. One bomb attack after another. Why is no one talking about it? Are there human rights violations?

Criticizing BNP’s movement in 2013, 2014 and 2015, the parliament leader said that burning alive people of BNP is the movement of BNP. Blocked. That blockade has not yet been lifted. Killing people with blockades. This is the character of BNP. Today I hear about democracy in their mouths. Listen to human rights. To foreigners.. there are some ardent classes in our country. Referring to the recently held 5 city corporation elections, the prime minister said that there will be no elections during the Awami League period, but only city corporation elections were held (Barisal, Rajshahi, Sylhet, Khulna and Gazipur). We lost in Gazipur, we won the other four as well. Has anyone raised a question about this election? We went there to steal votes? I didn’t do it. Has there ever been such a peaceful election in Bangladesh? City elections were held in Dhaka in 1993. Mohammad Hanif won. Then BNP shot and killed 6 Awami League leaders and activists in Lalbagh. We must not forget that. Such terrorist acts have been committed in every election.

The Prime Minister mentioned that all the by-elections held during the Awami League period were free, fair and impartial. He said, only Awami League can give free and fair elections. I can say that unequivocally. To preserve people’s right to vote, to achieve people’s economic emancipation. That is our goal. That is what we are doing. I will do that. People have repeatedly overcome many obstacles and elected Awami League by voting. The people of the country are getting its benefits.

The Prime Minister said, we have secured the voting rights of the people. Raised awareness about voting rights and continued the democratic process. From 2009 to 2023, they could not destroy this democracy even though they committed various crimes like arson, killing people. The democratic trend continues because there is Awami League. People’s purchasing power has increased because of Awami League. The country has got the status of a developing country today. People got freedom by voting on boats.
