Selim Mia (30), a father of 4 children, died due to lightning in Bakhtarpur village of Satkapan union of Bahubal upazila of Habiganj.

The accident happened at around 12:30 noon on Friday.

It is known that the son of Haji Sundar Ali of Bakhtarpur village. Salim went to Haor next to Mia’s house. He died when he was struck by lightning around 12:30 pm.

Abdul Karim, a local ward member, said that Salim Mia went to Hawar near the house at noon. He died when a heavy lightning started. Meanwhile, the body of the deceased has been recovered and sent to Habiganj Sadar Hospital Morgue for autopsy.
