He said these things while addressing the chief guest at the freedom fighter reception and discussion meeting organized by the upazila administration after laying wreaths at the Shantiganj upazila memorial of Sunamganj on the occasion of the Great Independence and National Day on Sunday (March 26) morning.

Earlier, at 9 am, the Minister laid wreaths at the upazila memorial along with the upazila Awami League leaders and activists on the occasion of the Great Independence and National Day. Later, leaders of various social and political organizations including Sunamganj Science and Technology University, Upazila Parishad, Health Complex, Police Station Administration, Fire Service, Shantiganj Press Club paid their respects.
Then Planning Minister MA Mannan MP took part in the ceremony organized by Shantiganj Upazila Administration on the occasion of the Great Independence and National Day by hoisting the flag, taking salute, opening the ceremony by releasing the symbol of peace and blowing balloons, inspecting the parade, displaying the display and distributing prizes and honoring the brave freedom fighters.
