In Sunamganj’s Tahirpur, two residences of a coal trader were gutted with furniture.
The incident of fire took place in Kalagaon Paschim Para border village of Uor Sreepur Union of Upazila between 1:00 PM and 1:30 AM on Wednesday. Rashid Mia, UP member of the concerned ward of Uor Sreepur Union of Upazila, confirmed this information.
Abdul Awal, the affected coal trader of Kalagaon Paschimpara, a border village of the upazila, said that the members of an isolated family of Kalagaon Paschimpara, a border village of the upazila, fell asleep in two tin shed houses after dinner on Wednesday. Seeing the fire burning in the eastern bedroom of the two houses, my wife Hajera Khatun woke up everyone and ran out of the house with all the family members. After hearing the screams, the neighbors rushed and tried to put out the fire. But in the half-hour-long fire, two tin sheds were completely burnt with furniture, TV fridge, paddy, rice husk, chicken, sewing machine, clothes of family members, cash of 80 thousand rupees and documents.
On Thursday, the injured coal trader Abdul Awal could not tell the exact cause of the fire, but he said that the family members were only able to come out of the house with only the clothes they were wearing. .
