Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has approved the recommendation to scrap the Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) exams from 2023. As per the National Curriculum Outline 2021, it has been decided to stop the JSC and JDC exams as there is no system for conducting public/board exams.
This was confirmed in a circular signed by Akter Unnecha Shiuli, Deputy Secretary of Secondary and Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education on Monday (January 16).
According to the notification, JSC and JDC public/board exams have not been arranged according to the National Curriculum Framework 2021, so the issue of 2022, 2023 and later JSC and JDC exams can be considered. The Prime Minister approved the above proposal.
It is also mentioned that in the said situation, instructions are requested to take further necessary action in the said matter.
