A child named Ismail Hossain (2) died after drowning in a pond in Jamalpur Union of Gaibandha.

The incident took place at Bara Jamalpur village of the union yesterday (December 8) around noon. Ismail Hossain is the son of Sohraf Hossain of that village.
Relatives said Ismail was playing in the yard around noon. If missing in the meantime, search is done. At one point, his sandal was found lying on the bank of a nearby pond and was searched for in the water. At that time, Ismail was found floating and was immediately rescued and taken to the Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor in charge declared him dead.

In this regard, Jamalpur Union Parishad (UP) newly elected Chairman Zahid Hasan Shubo (Kauchar Mandal) said, “I have heard the incident from people. Parents need to be aware of this.
