Issue of Memorandum to Gaibandha of Brick Manufacturers Owners Association

On Sunday (November 27) Gaibandha District Commissioner Md. Gaibandha Deputy Commissioner for obtaining the environmental clearance and license of the zigzag brick kiln described in the Brick Manufacturing and Kiln Installation Control Act 2013 and the Brick Manufacturing and Kiln Installation Control Amendment Act 2019. A memorandum was presented to the Prime Minister through Oliur Rahman.

Anwarul Qadir Phul, brick kiln owner Nowsher Alam Rezaul Karim Raju, Zahedul Islam, Abu Taleb Sarkar, Abdul Waheed, Akhtar Amin Babla, Chowdhury Munir Hasan Sumon, Mokhleshur Rahman and Abdur Rauf Mia etc.
In the memorandum mentioned, the distance of prohibited area in case of hybrid kiln and tunnel kiln is 400 meters instead of 1000 meters, distance of prohibited area in section 8(3) (e) for zigzag mills is 400 meters and 8(3) (b) of forest. The Prime Minister’s intervention is sought to fix the distance of 700 meters by 2030 to operate legal zigzag brick kilns by issuing brick kiln licenses and environmental clearances and solving the current coal crisis. Otherwise, the implementation of all the development activities of the government will be hampered. By implementing the provisions of this Act, timely steps are called to make it a middle-income country by 2030 and a developed country by 2040.
