Reckless truck hit pilgrims, killed 12

Twelve people were killed when a speeding truck plowed into pilgrims gathered on the side of a highway in Bihar, India.
The accident took place on the Mahanar-Hazipur highway in Bihar’s Vaishali district at around 9 pm on Sunday. News from NDTV.
On the occasion of the puja of ‘Bhumia Baba’, local devotees gathered around an ashwath tree on the side of the road.
At that time, a truck speeding through the side road lost control and rammed into the crowd of pilgrims.
Local MLA Mukesh Raushan said that 9 people died on the spot in the accident. After taking the injured to Hajipur Sadar Hospital, three more died there.
