Harassment of Haj pilgrims will be dealt with strictly: Prime Minister

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that if any agency cheats or harasses pilgrims, administrative action will be taken against that agency. He said that in the coming days, those who harass the guests of God’s house will face severe punishment.
He said this at the opening ceremony of the conference on Hajj and Umrah arrangements at the national level by connecting virtually from Ganobhaban on Thursday (November 17) noon.
The conference is being held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre.
The Prime Minister said, to free the country from militancy and keep awake the peaceful glory of holy Islam, we have adopted zero tolerance program to suppress militancy. Committees have been formed in every area involving scholars and ulema, so that no children are involved in militancy, steps have been taken.
He said, 564 model mosques are being constructed in Bangladesh. There will be Islamic cultural center and research center. People should know the basics of Islam well.
