There were no irregularities in Faridpur by-election: CEC

Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal has expressed satisfaction that there were no irregularities in the by-elections in Faridpur-2 constituency.
The CEC said this to reporters at the CCTV monitoring center in the election building on Saturday (October 5). Bye-election of Faridpur-2 seat is going on from 8 am. Voting will be done in EVM till 4 pm. In addition to local observation, the CEC and other election commissioners are watching the voting through 1052 CC cameras in all the centers and polling booths of this seat.
In the afternoon, CEC Kazi Habibul Awal expressed his satisfaction with the environment and said that he does not see any irregularities in this by-election. Faridpur by-election is going very peacefully. However, he said that voter turnout is relatively low.
CEC said, as we expected, we saw in the CCTV camera that it was peaceful. CC cameras have a positive side. Voting on CC cameras is a new addition. He commented that it will expand control and electoral governance.
