The speakers said that whenever a natural disaster occurs, the government and various political and social organizations extend their help to the coastal people. That aid is a temporary antidote. But natural disasters like cyclones wreak havoc on the coast, especially when levees break, inundating Village after village with salty sea water for months and making people’s lives uncertain. To get out of that uncertainty, to rebuild life, a strong, durable and high and strong embankment capable of resisting the tide is needed.
