Madrasa student of Teghria was killed in Rupganj, 2 convicts got life

The court has sentenced two people to life imprisonment in connection with the murder of Akash, a madrasa student of Tegharia village in the suburb of Habiganj. Along with that, each of them was fined 50,000 taka, and in default of payment they were sentenced to another six months’ imprisonment.

Judge Munshi Moshiar Rahman of the District and Sessions Judge Court gave the verdict on Wednesday (August 31) at noon. At that time the accused were present in the court.

The convicts are Jannati Begum alias Shabnoor of Chhota Bahula village of Habiganj Sadar Upazila and Siddique Ali of Dakshin Tegharia area.

Advocate Moniruzzaman Bulbul, counsel for the state side of the District and Sessions Judge Court, said, “Two accused have been sentenced to life imprisonment in the murder case. As the other two accused Sabina and Suman are minors, the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Tribunal will decide against them.

Court Police Inspector. Asaduzzaman said, “On the basis of evidence, two people have been sentenced to life imprisonment in this case. In 2021, Shabnoor, Sabina and Suman planned this murder on the orders of Siddique Ali. A 17-year-old madrasa student develops a love relationship with Akash and at one point they bring her to Rupganj. He was fed with drugs mixed with food there. When she became unconscious, the accused strangled her by twisting her veil.

It is to be noted that on April 4, 2021, Madrasa student Aybur Rahman Khokon alias Akash of Habiganj suburban village was called from Habiganj to Barat area of ​​Rupganj, Narayanganj and killed. In this incident, the father of the deceased filed a case accusing four people. The accused in the case also gave a confessional statement in the court. It is said that the student developed a love relationship with Shabnur. At that time, they fled without telling anyone in the hope of building a house and stayed in Rupganj of Narayanganj. He rents a house there. Madrasa Akash also falls in love with Shabnoor and continues his relationship with Sabina. Shabnoor and Sabina’s boyfriend Suman goes to work to make matters worse. At noon, he came home and saw Sabina and Akash in an offensive state. The next day, Shabnoor and Suman killed Akash and left him in a forest. Later, Rupganj police recovered the body and handed it over to Anjuman Mofidul Islam after post-mortem.

Meanwhile, Akash’s father Abdul Hakim went to Habiganj Sadar police station to make a general diary about his son’s disappearance. The police advised him to look for him in different places instead of GD. Hakim repeatedly said that the son was killed. Even then Sadar Thana Police did not take GD. Finally, Hakeem sat in the police station and started crying. At this time met with two journalists. The journalists were immediately taken to the then Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ullah. He instructed DB OC Al Amin and Mahmudul Hasan after knowing the matter. Within hours, the DB police arrested and interrogated Shabnoor and Sabina, who gave a detailed account. Later, the Rupganj Police Station was informed and they came and took away the two arrested sisters. According to their confession, Suman and Siddique Ali were arrested. Later Hakeem filed a case against the said persons as plaintiff.
