Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that our every step is as planned. Projects that will be useful for people, will benefit the country, will get feedback – I have taken up such projects. We do not borrow ghee.

He said this at a meeting organized by the Dhaka Metropolitan Awami League to commemorate the National Day of Mourning at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in the capital on Tuesday.

Addressing the activists, he said, Bangladesh will never be Sri Lanka, it cannot be. If Sri Lanka happened, it happened during BNP’s tenure. Bangladesh at that time was mired in power and water crisis and terrorism and corruption. Then people came down the street.

He said that many people are protesting in the country and abroad. Who are they? War criminals and their children, murderers of 75 and their children or relatives and some criminals who have committed crimes and migrated abroad.
