Two people were shot dead in a clash between two A-League groups

Two people have been shot dead during a clash between two Awami League groups at Raipura in central Narsingdi. At least 30 people were injured in the incident.

The incident took place in the early hours of Thursday (October 28) at Kacharikandi village in the area.

The deceased were identified as Sadir Mia, 22, son of Ali through Kacharikandi village and Hiron, 35, son of Asad Mia of the same village. The injured were rescued and admitted to various hospitals in Narsingdi including Raipura. There is tension in the area.

The injured have been identified as Ramzan (18), Mokles (22), Ahid Mia (43), Judge Mia (14), Shamsunahar (34), Dana Mia (60), Alamin Mia (20), Nazir (21) and Nazma (24). , Danis Mia (24), Md. Haque Mia (50). All of them are supporters of Chhota Shah Alam of Kacharikandi village. Among them, Judge Mia was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

According to the police, there was a conflict with Shah Alam member and Chhota Shah Alam of Kacharikandi village of Paratali union of the upazila over the dominance of the area. The two sides clashed six months ago over the conflict. Yasin and Shahin of the small Shah Alam group were killed in the clash.

In this incident, the members of Bara Shah Alam group fled the village. Meanwhile, the schedule for the UP elections was announced. The people of Shah Alam member tried to enter the village to take part in the election. On Thursday morning, members of Shah Alam’s group entered the village with spears and weapons and attacked Shah Alam’s house.

When the news spread, the supporters of Chhota Shah Alam tried to stop him. Clashes between the two sides. Saadi (22) and Hiron (35), two members of the small Shah Alam group, were shot dead on the spot. At least 30 people were injured, including eight who were shot. The injured were rescued and admitted to various hospitals in Narsingdi including Raipura.

Raipura police officer in charge (OC) said. Azizur Rahman said that after being a fugitive for a long time, Shah Alam member and his supporters returned to the village in the morning and attacked the opposition. Two people were killed. Several were injured.
