Juwel Islam,Taraganj (Rangpur):Taraganj police have recovered two hanging bodies in the last two days. The body was recovered from Alampur Union in Taraganj Upazila on Saturday afternoon and from a mango orchard in Kursha Union adjacent to Rangpur-Dinajpur Highway on Sunday morning.
According to Taraganj Police Station sources, Parveen Begum, 30, wife of Rashedul Islam of Bhimpur Dhanipara village in Alampur Union of Taraganj Police Station had a quarrel with Sharmin Begum 26, wife of Rashedul’s other brother Sadekul Islam. In the afternoon after the quarrel, the villagers informed the police station after seeing the body of Parveen Begum mysteriously hanging from Rashedul’s bedroom. Upon receiving the news, Taraganj police recovered Parveen’s body hanging at around 4 pm and took it to the police station.
On the other hand, Taraganj police recovered the body of a man hanging from a mango tree branch in front of Brothers Cold Storage in Kursha Union of Taraganj upazila on the Rangpur-Dinajpur highway on Sunday morning.
Taraganj police recovered the hanging body of Kendu Miah, 35, son of Bachir Uddin of Ghanirampur Bangalipur village in Kursha union after receiving information from locals in the morning.
Taraganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Farooq Ahmed said Kendu Mia’s body was handed over to his family as there was no complaint. Earlier, Parveen Begum’s body was sent to Rangpur Medical College (ROMEC) Hospital for autopsy (Sunday) after her father’s family complained. The autopsy report will make it clear whether it was actually murder or suicide.
