The river water is rising in Habiganj due to rains and slopes coming down from India. The waters of the Khowai River in the northeast are located above the danger line.
The Flood Forecasting and Warning Center of the Water Development Board (Paubo) said there was no danger of the flood situation deteriorating in seven days. However, there are indications that the water level of flood-prone rivers will increase.

In the ten-day forecast, Paubo says the water level in the Brahmaputra-Jamuna river may rise from stable to then by August 10. In the next seven days, there is no possibility of crossing the danger line in the Brahmaputra river basin.
