Juwel Islam,Taraganj (Rangpur):The number of deaths and infections of the second wave of corona virus is increasing in Bangladesh. Therefore, the Taraganj Upazila administration and law enforcement agencies are in a strict position to implement the all-out lockdown announced by the government for a week from July 1 to prevent the infection.
Police have set up checkposts at Thana Junction, Agrani Bank Junction and New Chowpathi since Thursday morning. Besides, Taraganj police are conducting drills on the main roads and markets of the upazila. Meanwhile, on behalf of the upazila administration, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Aminul Islam warned the people to adhere to the all-out lockdown by warning the army with hand mics at various places including markets.
During the police exercise, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Taraganj Police Station Faruk Ahmed said that the police would work to send people home in all-out lockdown by the government. For the sake of the people, he said, no one should go out of the house unnecessarily, if you go out of the house in case of emergency, you must use a mask.
