The hanging body of a 5th class student was recovered in Beanibazar

The hanging body of a 5th class student has been recovered in Beanibazar upazila of Sylhet. Police recovered the body of the student from his house at around 11:30 pm on Tuesday (October 12). The rescued student is Jannat (12), daughter of Nazrul Islam of Pathari Para village in Muria union of the upazila. He is a 5th class student of Sarpar Hafizia Dakhil Madrasa.

According to local sources, Jannat’s mother was married in Patharipara village of Muria union. When her parents divorced a year after Jannat’s birth, she moved in with her mother. Later his mother got married to another man. She has another child in this world. On Tuesday he went to see the doctor with the child. At that time Jannat was alone in a room of the house. He keeps the door of his room locked from the inside. At one stage, when the mother returned home, the family members of Masah did not get any response when they went to call her.

Later, he opened the back door of the house and entered the house and saw Jannat hanging by the throat. When the locals informed the police, a team of police led by Beanibazar police sub-inspector Shah Alam Bhuiyan came and recovered his body at around 11pm. His body was later sent to the morgue of Sylhet Osmani Hospital for autopsy. Muria UP member Abdul Matin said the 5th class student had committed suicide. However, he did not know the reason for his suicide.

Beanibazar Police Station OC Hillol Roy said a group of police had recovered the body of a girl named Jannat. Initially, the idea was that he had committed suicide. The cause of this suicide is not yet known. His body was sent to the morgue of Osmani Hospital for autopsy.
