The Child Stolen From Bahubal Was Rescued In Dhaka

Mir Jamal Habiganj: A three-month-old baby stolen from his mother in Bahubale has finally been rescued. The child was rescued from a house in Boo Bazar area of Dhaka Badda Police Station on Tuesday afternoon and sent to Habiganj Court through a local councilor. However, the plaintiff’s lawyer GM Shahin has actively cooperated in this matter.

On Wednesday (November 25) afternoon, the executive magistrate handed over the child to his mother Rokhsana Akter, leaving the child’s mother to testify.

It is learned that Rokhsana Akter, 19, daughter of Abdur Razzak of Biharipur village in Bahubal upazila, was married to Hafeez Md Mostafa Kamal, 35, son of late Siddique Ali of Chilakara village under Pakundia police station in Kishoreganj district. They had a three-month-old son.

Mostafa Kamal Bahubal lived in the new market as he was the agent of the gas cylinder in the new market. At one stage he got acquainted with Rokhsana and got married. But Rokhsana did not know that Kamal has another wife and children in his house. Kamal’s identity was revealed after the birth of his son Abu Bakar Siddique. At this time there was a quarrel in the family. At one stage, Kamal and Rokhsana rented a house in Mirpur.

On the night of November 1, when the husband and wife fell asleep in a rented house with their infant son, they woke up in the middle of the night and did not have a child from Rokhsana. At that moment, she started screaming and crying. Later, Kamal found out by phone that Kamal had run away with the child. Meanwhile, Rokhsana filed a case in Habiganj court on November 3 for not giving the breastfed baby.

The court directed the Dhaka police through a senior police officer to rescue the child. Through the mobile tank, the police confirmed that the child was with his stepmother at that house in Dhaka’s Bou Bazar. He was eventually rescued. Kamal fled after the incident.

Rokhsana, the plaintiff in the case, said that the lawyer had actively assisted him and continued the proceedings without any charges. He expressed his gratitude to her for this.
