The Australian cricket team has set foot in Dhaka to play a five-match T20 series. Ajira landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday at 4:10 pm on a chartered flight.

Australians will go directly to the Intercontinental Hotel from the airport. Under the joint management of BCB and Cricket Australia, Team Hotel has already been brought under the bio-safety zone.

The cricketers of the two teams will return to the field at the end of the three-day quarantine. At the end of the quarantine period, Bangladesh-Australia will start a two-day practice. The Bangladesh team will then face Ajit in a five-match T20 series. Hosts Bangladesh and visiting Australia will take to the field on August 3, 4, 6, 7 and 9 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. All the matches will be held from 6 pm.

Tamim Iqbal, the country’s best opener, will not be able to play against Australia due to a knee injury. He is at rest. Mushfiqur returned to the country in the middle of his visit to Zimbabwe as his parents were infected with Corona. He will also miss the series as he goes out of the biological safety zone. Opener Liton Das is not playing against Australia as his father-in-law is suffering from dengue.
