Saiful Islam Rangpur: National Income Tax Day has been observed in Rangpur through a limited number of rallies and discussion meetings to prevent the risk of corona infection. This year’s theme was ‘Ensuring a taxpayer-friendly environment by providing transparent and modern tax services’.
The formality of the day started by blowing balloons in the premises of Rangpur Kar Bhaban on Monday morning. The rally outside the tax building ended at the main gate of the tax building.
Speaking on the occasion, Rangpur Region Tax Commissioner Abu Hannan Delwar Hossain said, “We are determined to ensure a taxpayer-friendly environment through modern and digital facilities.” There is scope for transparency and accountability in the provision of tax services.
So if everyone pays income tax from their own position, the country will move forward faster. Asked whether the coronation had any effect, Tax Commissioner Abu Hannan said, “This time the return and income tax collection has been higher than last time.”
