Silent procession in Netrokona to protest the attack on Palestine

Munayem Khan, Netrokona: A silent procession wearing shrouds was held in Netrokona under the banner of the District Combined Civil Society under the slogan ‘Wake up, stand up, stand by the Palestinians, stand by the Arab children’. The procession started from the front of Mitali Sangha in Moktarpara on Thursday afternoon and went around the main roads of the city.

The silent procession was led by Deshbarenya Katnist Bipul Shah. District Mahila Awami League President Kamrunnesa Ashraf Dina was present at the time. Among others who joined the procession were poet Swapan Pal, District Bangabandhu Parishad General Secretary Anwar Zaheer Liton and District Sahitya Samaj General Secretary Saifullah Emran.

Enamul Haque Palash, Shah Rafiqur Rahman Apollo, General Secretary of Mitali Sangha, students of various political, socio-cultural arenas, schools and colleges and people of different walks of life participated in the silent procession. Speakers at a brief rally later called on Israel to immediately end its attacks and end the devastation in Palestine.
