Shibpur (Narsingdi) Correspondent: Public awareness activities, distribution of free masks and mobile court campaigns have been conducted in different areas of Narsingdi Shibpur Upazila Sadar to curb the recent increase in coronavirus infection.On Monday (March 29) afternoon, the Upazila administration initiated public awareness activities and mobile courts to ensure the wearing of compulsory masks to prevent the recent spread of coronavirus in crowded places in the Upazila Sadar.
Shibpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer and Executive Magistrate Kabirul Islam Khan and Executive Magistrate Aceland Shyamal Chandra Basak led awareness raising and miking at crowded places in Collegegate, Bus Stand and Sadar Road area to encourage the use of masks. At this time free masks were distributed among the poor and helpless people.In addition, various individuals and organizations are fined through mobile courts as a punitive measure for running a business in violation of hygiene rules.
Upazila Nirbahi Magistrate Kabirul Islam Khan said, “The second phase of corona is increasing in the country. We all have to follow the hygiene rules.” The campaign of mobile court of Shibpur upazila administration will continue to increase public awareness.
