Shelter Project-Living in a dream house in Rupganj

Rashedul Islam, Rupganj (Narayanganj): Helpless, landless, poor people are living in the dream house built in Asrayan Project-2 of Rupganj Upazila of Narayanganj.  The house is to be allotted to 303 families.  They are now living in 150 of these houses.  The remaining 153 houses are under construction.  It will be handed over to the beneficiaries in a few days.
It has been learned on the spot that all these houses have been built in a beautiful natural environment on the banks of Shitalakshya river.
 Old Runa Begum lives in a house built with funding from the Birabo Shelter Project.  Widow.  He has one son and one daughter.  They do not keep track of the mother.  Runa Begum did not have a house.  He used to beg.  He would spend the night in someone else’s kitchen or on the porch.  Runa Begum’s dream came true with the gift of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.  Under the shelter project, Runa Begum got two hundred acres of land in her name and a two-room house in a tinsed.  Includes a bathroom and toilet.  There is also electrical connection and water system.
Not only Runa Begum but also Yusuf (65), Sajimun (90), Pangu Shafiqul Alam (60), Shaheda (63), Kabita (53), Nazma (61), Hazrat Ali (60) and 150 families got their houses and fulfilled their dreams.  Done.  The dreams of 153 families are waiting to be fulfilled.
Shah Nusrat Jahan, Upazila Nirbahi Officer, said a two-room house of tinsed was constructed at a cost of Tk 1.71 lakh with 2 hundred acres of land.  Construction of 20 houses has been completed in Murapara Darikandi area and 131 houses in Birabo area of ​​Kanchan.  Besides, construction work of 100 more houses in Birabo area and 45 houses in Adhuria area is underway.  With the allocated funds, it was becoming very difficult to make arrangements for VT sand, electrical connections, sewerage, water drainage.  Then the hand of help was extended to the textile and jute minister Golam Dastagir Gazi Bir Pratik.
Textile and Jute Minister Golam Dastagir Gazi (Bir Pratik) said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is the mother of humanity.  His mind cries all the time for the common man.  It is rare in the history of the world that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given shelter to so many people across the country.  The homeless are now living in that dream house.
