Shabi teacher Mahfuzur Rahman committed suicide

Mohammad Mahfuzur Rahman, an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, has committed suicide.

Proctor Alamgir Kabir of Shabiprabir confirmed that he committed suicide in Virginia, USA at 10 am Bangladesh time on Saturday (October 16).

Proctor Alamgir Kabir said Mahfuzur Rahman was studying for a PhD at Virginia Tech University in the United States. It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post. We are deeply saddened by the university family.
