Abdullah Al Mamun: A colorful reception has been given to 24 senior teachers promoted from 1st class gazetted post from Harimohan Government High School in Chapainawabganj. On Monday (January 17) at noon, the school hosted a reception for the promoted senior teachers in the teachers’ auditorium.
District Education Officer Mohammad Abdur Rashid was present as the chief guest at the reception presided over by Assistant Headmaster Md. Golam Murshed. Assistant District Education Officer Mohammad Saiful Malek was present as special guest.
Among the teachers who spoke on the occasion were senior teacher of the school Md. Abdul Basir, senior teacher Mufti Hanif Abdul Quader, assistant teacher columnist Ajmal Hossain Mamun and assistant teacher Md. Alamgir Hossain.
At the end of the meeting, the chief guest handed over the crest of honor to the promoted senior teacher. Speakers at the reception said that the promotion has ended the long deprivation. And it has proved once again that the present government is an education-friendly government and a teacher-friendly government. The increase in the rank of teachers proves that in order to take a nation forward, the country will move forward only if teachers are given due status and not by devaluing them. This nation will be able to stand with its head high in the chest of the world. Expressing gratitude to all concerned including Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni for the promotion of five thousand teachers of the country at the same time.
