On the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence, a special discussion meeting will be held in the National Assembly on November 24 and 25. The President will give a commemorative speech on the first day. Abdul Hamid. Speaker confirmed the news. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury.

Speaking at the end of the parliamentary session on Thursday (November 18), Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury said, “We are celebrating the golden jubilee of independence in 2021.” Various programs are being held throughout the year to celebrate the Golden Jubilee in a colorful and dignified manner. Following this, a discussion meeting will be held in the Jatiya Sangsad on the occasion of the golden jubilee of independence on November 24 and 25. President. Abdul Hamid will give a memorial speech on November 24 at 3 pm. Later general proposals will be raised and discussed. After the two-day discussion, the parliament will accept the proposal.

In celebration of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of Bangladesh’s independence, the government took various programs by declaring last year as ‘Mujib Year’. However, due to the inability to carry out the programs for the coronavirus epidemic properly, the term of Mujib was extended from 17 March 2020 to 16 December 2021. On March 26 this year, Bangladesh celebrated the golden jubilee of independence. On December 16, Bangladesh will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the victory.

On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Jatiya Sangsad sat in a special session for the first time in the history in November last year. President Abdul Hamid addressed the session on the life and work of Bangabandhu.
