Secret money transactions of the world’s top political leaders, rich and influential have been leaked. Companies in countries and regions such as Panama, Dubai, Monaco, Switzerland and the British Virgin Islands, known as the tax haven, have leaked information that influential people from different countries have kept and made secret transactions.

The list includes leaders such as Russian President Vladimir Putin, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Czech Prime Minister Andrei Babis.

A number of media outlets, including the British daily Guardian and the BBC, have analyzed 11 million documents of those companies and published this information. It has been named Pandora Papers. The BBC says those named as investors in offshore companies include 35 former and current leaders from around the world and more than 300 government officials. These officials from more than 90 countries include ministers, judges, mayors, and army generals. There are also hundreds of billionaires, popular people and businessmen in various fields.

It has been revealed that the King of Jordan has secretly amassed 100 million in several countries, including the United Kingdom and the United States. Former United Kingdom Prime Minister Tony Blair and his wife have paid 312,000 in tax evasion when they bought an office in London.

The leaked documents show Russian President Vladimir Putin’s secret assets in Monaco and Czech Prime Minister Andrei Babis’s purchase of a palace in France for 22 million. He is running in the country’s elections this weekend.

The latest El Pandora Papers is the seven-year series of leaks of influential and wealthy people from different countries, including Finsen Files, Paradise Papers, Panama Papers and Luxlix. The Guardian says this is the largest leak in history.

The documents were analyzed by more than 650 journalists at the initiative of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ), a global coalition of investigative journalists.

The BBC says many of those named in the documents have been charged with corruption, money laundering and tax evasion. But the most important thing that has been revealed here is how celebrities and wealthy people have legally formed various companies in the UK to buy assets secretly. The owners of about 95,000 offshore companies are behind these purchases.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and his family are among them. The family is accused of looting their country’s money. The investigation found that the Aliyev family and their close associates were secretly involved in buying assets worth more than 500 million in the UK. The family sold a property in London to the British royal family. They have earned more than four million dollars.
